Guidelines
to Candidates
1. Candidates are advised to reach the venue at least 30 minutes
before the examination so as to complete the registration formalities well
before the time. Registration desk will be closed 05 minutes prior to the
examination.
2. The candidate must show, on demand, the Admit Card for admission
in the examination room/hall. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card
issued by the Board shall not be permitted for the examination under any
circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.
3. The candidates are advised to also bring with them a copy of
document (as per following applicable criteria) on the day of their JEE (Main)
- 2014 and submit the same to the invigilator at the examination centre. The
Candidates have to write Roll No. of JEE (Main) Examination on the copy of the
document being submitted in support of class 12th/Qualifying examination.

This
is in addition to the candidates bringing their Admit Card for JEE (Main) 2014.
1. A seat indicating roll number will be allocated to each
candidate. Candidate should find out and
Occupy their allotted seat only.
2. The candidate should ensure that the question paper available on
the computer is as per his/her
choice of medium. In case,
the question paper is in medium other than his/her choice, the same
may be brought to the notice
of the Invigilator concerned
3. Candidates are not allowed to carry any baggage, textual
material, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log
Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator,
printed or written material, bits of papers,
mobile phone, pager or any other device, except the Admit Card,
identity proof, & document as
mentioned above inside the Examination Room/Hall.
4. No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre
Superintendent or the Invigilator
concerned, will leave his/her
seat or Examination Room until the full duration of the paper.
Candidates must follow the
instructions strictly as instructed by the Centre Superintendent/Invigilators.
Instructions
for Computer Based Examination
CBE
is a Computer Based Exam which will be conducted using the Local Area Network
(LAN) to make it safe, secure and un-interrupted.
The
Computer Based Examination will be conducted as per the following schedule:
1.
The candidates must sign on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place
2. The test will start exactly at the time
mentioned in the Admit Card and an announcement to this
effect will be made by the invigilator.
3.
The test will be of 3 hrs duration.
4.
The test paper will be consisting questions of Physics, Chemistry &
Mathematics and all questions will
have equal weightage.
5.
There will be three parts in the question paper consisting of Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics
having equal weightage.
6. Each question is allotted
4 (four) marks for the correct response. ¼ (one fourth) marks i.e. one mark
will be deducted for indicating incorrect
response of each question. No deduction from the total
score will be made if no response is
indicated for a question.
7.
There is only one correct response for each question out of four responses
given.
8.
The candidate can review or re-answer any question at any point of time during
the examination. The
candidate can change the option of the
answer during the exam duration and it is one of the most
important feature of computer based
examination.
9.
There will be a panel on computer screen showing all the question number in
different color scheme which will indicate which are the questions answered,
left un answered and marked for review.
10.
All calculations/writing work are to be done only in the rough sheet provided
at the centre and on
completion of the test candidates must
hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the
Room/Hall.
11.
During the examination time, the invigilator will check Admit Card of the
candidate to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate.
12. The candidates are
governed by all Rules and Regulations of the Board with regard to their conduct
in the Examination Hall. All cases of
unfair means will be dealt with as per rules.
