The Sagar Group has been established under the vision of Sri. Sudheer Kumar Agarwal. The group is well known for wide variety of sectors like construction, industry, education. In educational sector, it has well known schools and colleges both engineering and pharmacy stream.

As a faculty member of Sagar Institute of Science and Technology, Gandhinagar (SISTec), I feel myself so much proud to be a family member of this group. The honourable chairman Sri Sudheer Kumar Agarwal and his young and dynamic son, the honorable secretary Mr. Siddharth Agarwal were the pillars of this institute. The institute is established in 2007 with various engineering departments namely-Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications, Computer Science and Information Technology. The students intake, faculty recruitment and hostel development increased over the last six years of the institution’s growth. Also now, we have a separate department for sports and physical alliance intensely involved in training the students to appear in inter college, nodal and interstate competitions. Recently SISTec has been awarded as the best upcoming college affiliated to RGPV by the Govt. of M.P.

The organizations main strength is its Chairman Sir who maintains such personal interaction with each faculty member, cares for the students even meeting them personally and listening to their suggestions and so on. His uniqueness to conduct such visionary programs like orientation for the fresh sagarites (welcoming first year students to SISTec) has been an overwhelming experience for both parents and guardians of the students giving them confidence that they have landed in a very nice organization in the central part of India. The institution has so many supporting staff members who would personally take the parents of fresh hostelers to visit the mess, have a food there and also to visit to their ward’s respective departmental laboratories and so on. Also the programs like independence day, personal meetings with chairman Sir, tutor guardian task for faculties and so on were personal wonderful stages to built effective employee-employer relationship.

Recently the executive director Mr. Pawan Grover has joined the institute and it has been an added advantage to the institutions growth. He initiated a buddy system, where the new faculties are been given an opportunity to be introduced themselves to all the senior faculty members through a buddy. He also initiated a mind boggling event called “Sagar Manthan” where the students of final year have an opportunity to experience a professional world for seven days in which there have to undergo many training programs like aptitude skills, how to face group discussions, how to improve communication skills and team building spirit and so on. This has been a very wonderful program for the students to groom them to be eligible to beget placement in world’s best companies.   

Now coming to the individual departments, the mechanical department of SISTec is the number one in entire Bhopal. It has well qualified faculties, well established labs, excellent students and teacher coordination and so on. It is also true for all the other departments including the latest ones namely Electrical and Electronics and Civil Engineering. The departments organize such thoughtful events like workshops, symposiums, conferences and so on for its student’s all round technical growth to become future technocrats.

Now coming to hostel, it’s a pleasant life for the students strict wardens and strong administration head Sri B.S. Kushwaha who ensures no ragging in the campus and well scheduled mess timings for girls and boys and first year students so that there is no chance for any mischievous action.

From all the above considerations, the campus life of student in SISTec will be promisingly glorious as the institute is the one of the best engineering colleges in Bhopal, ranked amongst top ten, best upcoming and stable in its ongoing development with full focus on primarily students academics to make them a well groomed technocrats for building India’s future.
